Wye Valley

My name is Louise Bragg and I have been a Local Guardian for White House Guardianship since February 2017.

I have been married to Nick for nearly 30 years and have 2 grown up children. My daughter Jess is currently at Lancaster University studying for her doctorate in Clinical Psychology. My son James has just finished university and now works at the local high school. I have always worked with children and currently give respite foster care to adults and children with disabilities.

As a family we have hosted students from all around the world for the past 25 years and been a host family for White House Guardianship for over 18 years. I get great satisfaction from helping others and ensuring that young people always feel safe, comfortable and happy.

About the Area

The Wye Valley is an Area of outstanding natural beauty and it is one of the most dramatic and scenic landscape areas in southern Britain. Popular places to visit close by are the Forest of Dean, Symonds Yat, Puzzle Wood to name a few, which have recently been used as locations in the Harry Potter and Star Wars films.

As well as the beautiful countryside, Gloucestershire is home to both Cheltenham, a regency spa town that hosts annual festivals of Jazz, Music, Literature and Food, and also the neighbouring city of Gloucester, with its historical dock land area with a vast array of shops and restaurants and also Gloucester Cathedral.
