My name is Nicola McCormick. I have been the Local Guardian for White House Guardians since July 2022 for the Sherwood area. I am a mum to a lively outgoing child. I have previously worked in mainstream primary education for 5 years and over 10 years as a Lecturer in further education. I have a passion for working with children and the young people, with a focus on pastoral care.
As I have a young child myself, we are a very active family who enjoys travelling, days out and always on the go! I have travelled all over the world and spent summers working overseas before settling in the U.K.
About the Area
I live in a quiet suburb of Derby called Chellaston. Derby lies on the banks of the River Derwent in the South of Derbyshire, of which it was traditionally the county town. We are home to the famous Derby County Football Club. We are also a 'twin city' to Osnabrook in Germany.
Derby is a vibrant city with many shops, cafes, bars and restaurants. We are also around 20mins drive from Nottingham.
