I live in a large old Victorian house, close by the railway station and two centre of Scarborough. Scarborough is a beautiful seaside town on the North East Coast of Yorkshire.
I am a highly experienced accommodation officer and programme co-ordinator for International Student Groups, managing a Language School during the summer months, for two decades now. I am an all year round Host Family for several organisations since 1987.
I am very family orientated, making sure that any students in my care will be treated and looked after extremely well.
I enjoy Jazz music, foreign travel, Reading, Motoring, socialising and Dining out.
About the Area
Stunning scenery, glorious beaches, loads to do and see, is it no wonder that people have been flocking to Scarborough for nearly 400 years.
Scarboroughs is a story of many firsts. The town became known as probably the worlds first seaside resort back in the 1600s, when the health-giving properties of the Spa waters were discovered. By the mid-1800s, with the coming of the railways and the popularity of sea bathing on the rise, Scarborough was the venue for two of the worlds first purpose-built hotels, The Grand and The Crown.
But despite its rich history, Scarborough doesnt live in the past. The town is constantly innovating to keep its place as one of the most popular holiday destinations in the UK.
Scarborough is a twinned city with Osteode am Harz in Germany.
