Penybont

My name is Eryl James and I have been a Local Guardian for White House Guardianships since June 2017. I live in a place called Bridgend, South Wales with my husband and two beautiful children. I am a very sociable person and like to eat out with friends and family I also like to help others as much as possible. I enjoy the outdoors and in my free time I like to keep fit, my hobbies include cycling, swimming and running. I enjoy a challenge and currently in the process of training for a marathon.

About the Area

The area I live is very central, 15 minutes from the coast, 30 minutes from Cardiff and Swansea which is great for shopping and only 30 minutes from the Rhondda Valley.

Bridgend if twinning with Langenau in Germany and Villenave-d’Ornon in France.

Wales is well known for its Rugby Union, this is the most popular sport played along with football. Swansea City and Cardiff City being the biggest teams.

A few famous people born in Bridgend are: David Emanuel (Fashion Designer), Gavin Henson (Rugby), Huw Edwards (BBEC Newsreader) and William Morgan (Inventor of the X-Ray process).
