I will be on hand to assist students to have a smooth transition into their new environments and seamlessly settle into their new routines.
It is always rewarding to work with young people and to watch them grow in confidence whilst developing new and long-lasting friendships in both their school and social lives. I take care to encourage them to have a full-filling and exciting visit, whilst guiding them on using their stay to their best advantage, and to gain valuable knowledge and experiences that they will take forward into their adult lives and help them with their future successes. It is so important that the students I care for feel safe and valued within a supportive family.
My hobbies include kayaking on local reservoirs and rivers, spending time with family and long dog walks with our dog Otis.
About the Area
I live in the Southeastern part the UK on the border between Kent and Sussex, these two affluent counties both have large coastal towns and bustling vibrant cities and are equally rich in architecture and history and are well known for their rural green landscapes, beautiful villages and stunning scenery.
Kent is just one hour from London and is especially known to be the Garden of England offering castles and countless gems such as the White Cliffs of Dover and Canterbury Cathedral. It also offers several traditional market towns including the famous Royal Tunbridge Wells, which was given Royal status in 1909 to commemorate that Queen Victoria had loved the town so much.
Sussex is full of heritage and highlights the South Downs National Park, its lighthouses and the sunniest stretch of coastline in the UK. It offers the large diverse coastal City of Brighton, and both Brighton and Hastings piers. The towns Battle and Hastings are steeped in history and renowned for the Battle of Hastings in 1066 which began the Norman conquest of England.
